The "Loire à Vélo" itinerary, which covers 150 km of Touraine, is of course a must. But other circuits such as "Saint Jacques à Vélo", "le Cher à Vélo", "l'Indre à Vélo" and the 51 "Boucles de Touraine" offer multiple rides. Bike hire available.

The GR3 trail follows the course of the Loire and passes near the castles of Chinon, Azay le Rideau, Amboise and the Clos Lucé. It also passes through Tours and the vineyards.
The Way of Saint James, thirty or so walks from 3 to 15 km (downloadable), the paths of Saint Martin offer you other escapades. Paddling on the Cher, the Loire, the Indre by renting a canoe or kayak is also a possible distraction.

Loire wines - vineyards
To the east of Tours, the Chenin grape variety thrives on the hillsides along the Loire. Vouvray and Montlouis can be enjoyed dry, sweet or sparkling. A Touraine speciality is the demi sec.
To the west of Tours is the kingdom of the Cabernet Franc, known as Breton, which can be found on either side of the Loire in Bougueil and Chinon.Wines from the plains with fruit or wines from the hillsides with more body, they will delight your palate.
The wine route is still long since sauvignon, gamay, malbec (Cot in Touraine), grelot give the AOC Touraine that we discover in Amboise, Azay le Rideau, Chenonceaux... We can advise you for visits of cellars and producers and/or for a day in the vineyards.
